Knitting ....Eyelash wool and cushions

Have you done any knitting with those fluffy 'eyelash' wools? It was all the rage last year and I did quite a few scarves.

Then our local 'cheapie' store sold it off at bargain prices....Lurid colours but at three balls for a £1, what's a girl to do?

I knitted it up into these Barbie doll cushions.........

Some knitting .....Jean Greenhowe dolls and blankets

I can knit but my mum is the expert in our family. She does these toys and dollies from the Jean Greenhowe patterns.

 And she still makes me toys..........

 And when she's bored she makes these blankets, completely out of her head, no pattern,
to "use up my wool"

She hates them herself, says they remind her of old people's homes so I usually get them, but I think they are works of art!

The first post

Well, here it is, the new craft blog. I could go on tinkering with it forever, but I think that will do for now. I'm going to use it to post about my crafts, maybe a bit of life, maybe a bit of gardening. Will this do for a first post? I hate the first bit, must be like trying to write an opening paragraph in a novel!
